Learning to Write

I am trying to decide whether learning to write is what I want to do. I want to do more but how do I find what the real thing for me is? Is there ways to figure it out? I feel really blocked sometimes when trying to process thru this. How can so many people know what they want and I don't have a clue? Am I blocked or is this normal? Is there a process to this? Does anyone know?
