To Buy or Not to Buy a New TV?

We are trying to decide if we really need to buy a new TV. We have great TVs but alas no flat screens. Is that a good enough reason to buy a new TV? I personally don't think but you know how men are. So we decided to trip on down to the local Sears electronics department. Talk about tons of TV's you almost need a degree to figure out which one is the best deal for the money. Also have you seen the sizes of these things? Some of them are huge! I might need to go out and park in the backyard to see it properly. Which would be cool since I personally miss drive-in's but that's another story. Anyway the final decision was save the money and watch the old TVs.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Call it Quits

I was sorry to hear that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits. They made such a cute couple. Hopefully this is best for them both.

Celebrity Auction Coming Up for CAPS!

They are getting ready for the CAPS celebrity auction. CAPS stands for Child Advocacy & Parenting Services. My brother in law went to Lawrence to try to get autographed or personalized basketballs. If you don't know, Lawrence is the home of the Kansas Jayhawks and the University of Kansas. These signed basketballs go for as much as 4 to 5 thousand dollars. This celebrity auction raises money for such a good cause I am hoping he can get two this year! Keep your fingers crossed.

Lindsay Lohan Stay Clean or Back to Jail

 Lindsay Lohan was told by Judge Fox during this mornings hearing that she had to follow certain rules. She must reside at home until Nov. 1, she must have random drug and alcohol tests twice weekly, she must participate in psychotherapy at least 4 days a week, she has to twice a week attend a behavior therapy session, and she has to attend a twelve step program. If she flunks the drug or alcohol tests she'll go back to jail for 30 days. Maybe with all this counseling she will FINALLY get her life together.

Remodeling, remodeling, remodeling

We are remodeling again. I am now looking at ceiling fans. I found some gorgeous Casablanca ceiling fans. That's what I have in my house already and they are the greatest fans. They are quiet and beautiful. The problem is trying to decide which is the one I like best. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Also I have to decide what colors I want to paint in my living room. I want it to be calm and peaceful so I'm thinking cream and mint green but, I haven't decided for sure.

American Pickers My Type of Job!

I love the TV show American Pickers. If I had the ability that is the job I would LOVE to have. I think the guys are usually really fair. Sometime they pay low if they aren't sure what the item really is but otherwise they pay pretty well. What an awesome job. I've been into antiques for a very long time but I still haven't seen some of the things they come up with. Overall a great show!

Medical Assistant School or Not?

I have been looking at medical assistant school and also have been calling different schools. The problem is I'm having trouble deciding between being a certified medical assistant and a career in medical coding. I think I've narrowed it down to a medical assistant job that I'll want, but who knows. It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind!
